Once we receive your subscription payment we will begin sending mail4kids to the child of your choice! If you choose to add the Deluxe Starter Kit to your package, it will be mailed out immediately.

One year’s subscription is $40.00 in Canada plus $2.00 GST = $42.00 total.

Title: Ladybug Category: Insects There are over 5000 species of ladybugs found world-wide. Their favourite habitats are forests, fields, gardens and even homes. They love to eat aphids, scale bugs and other pests, so they are welcomed by farmers and gardeners alike. Since they start eating as soon as the eggs hatch, the female cleverly lays her eggs amongst a colony of aphids or other pests. Then when the larvae hatch they have dinner waiting for them and can start munching right away. A single ladybug might eat over 5000 aphids in its life time which is 2-3 years. A female ladybug will lay more than a 1000 eggs in her lifetime. Ladybugs produce a chemical that tastes and smells bad so other bugs and birds won’t eat them. |
